I never knew what a bougainvillea was until 18 years ago when I arrived in San Diego. This area has so many of them that it should be named the County Flower.

It is widely seen in India , Russel , but not too many.This one was almost 10 feet high and seemed to be good against light blue sky.

It is quite common flower in our part of the world.
