🙂 ! It was a cold and cloudy morning .
I was lucky to escape from getting drenched in rain.
This was shot just a couple of minutes before the storm and rain .
My WP Reader has totally changed (and messed up) how I look at and comment on other’s blogs and it is now not just difficult but close to impossible. Not sure what the problem is but if you don’t see me around for a while until this hopefully gets fixed, that’s the reason. Sorry.
It is O.K , Phil.I too feel the same problem . Now ,I have to spend more time to find blogs that I follow , as whole thing is messed up.’ Stats’ also act funny ! It must be WP’s software problem. Let us hope for the best !
The light and the lamp post are superb. The ship and the piers in the water are just really nice. The whole mood of this image is wonderful. You’ve taken your photography to a totally new level while I wasn’t paying attention. 🙂
We had plans for only one day in Venice , George.
And it was cloudy and dull in the morning andI thought all my plans of etting some good shots would be shattered. But then , even on that day there were some good frames like this. I am happy that you liked it .
You were not paying attention ?!?! 🙂 ! Your occasional visits and analysis have done much to my photography ! You may not know how much your guidance and help have contributed to whatever improvement that has happened in my photography . I am thankful , George !
I knew you were working on the editing program. And, I can see a phenomenal change in the photographs. They really are superb, Utham. Congratulations! I smiled from ear to ear as I was scrolling through the ones I hadn’t seen. 🙂

awesome…the posts in the water actually give it a rather eerie feel to the photo…the lamp post is a beauty…it looks like a storm not just a rain!

And this is the scene we reached there. 😦 !
There was a brief storm and heavy rain .
Fortunately , the sky became clear within few hours .
I could get a couple of good pictures.

NIce shot! This is an wonderful art of photography. The series of informally placed vertical objects and
sorrounding darkness have created a mind storming visual that depends on the defused source of light
behind the lamp post, suddenly which seems to be a storm but really this “just before the rain” appears as an
unique composition of black & white photography, though I think, it’s not a b/w photography at all. I like it!

And the brief storm arrived within few minutes after I clicked this picture.
