Today – 19th of August – is the World Photography day . The word ‘ Photography ‘ means ‘ writing with light ‘ .181 years ago , on this day , photography was ‘ officially ‘ born . Since then , the saga continues – the saga of exploring and discovering the new vistas in the art and the craft of ‘ writing with light ‘ !
The picture shows sun rays breaking through the clouds to light up the part of Great Rift Valley , north to Nairobi in Kenya , from where journey of human civilization began .
‘ Let there be light !’ Always !

These rays through the clouds are always a spectacle to watch. Though they are sometimes seen in the city too , during cloudy days , seeing them in vast open spaces , lighting up a specific part alone is an amazing sight . it is as if someone shining a powerful torch from heavens !
