  1. Wow, utham, that was fast. I just posted and I immediately got your “like” message. Thanks so much. Good to meet you. I share your short and sweet philosophy and photolosophy. Will enjoy looking around your blog. πŸ™‚

  2. Utham, I just gave you the ABC award for Awesome Blog Content. You present your work. That’s what you do. Your blog is not filled with extraneous stuff. The work speaks for itself. That requires courage. You don’t fancy up your photographs. They are good enough as you shot them. And they ARE good. I don’t visit as often as I’d like, but I love what I see here. You probably received all kinds of awards before, but I wanted to recognize you anyway. Pass the award along or not. It doesn’t matter. The award and the rules are on my blog.

Thank you for giving us these beautiful memories of you and the places you travel.

    • A big , really big THANK YOU ( in capitals ) , George.
This is first nomination of this type, and that makes it sweeter.
I just started this blog less than a month before and am not familiar with the rules. Shall check you website and do the needful.
Your appreciation , suggestions and comments are equally valuable to me. Thanks , again

      • Utham, I thought you’d been doing this forever. You are GOOD. Your blog is good. And, I can see clearly that you are a good and humble man. Bless you.

        Have fun with the ABCs!

  3. Utham,
I just came across your blog.
Of course, I have seen some of your work before, and always admired the simple, uncluttered beauty it captured. Like many of your admirers, and most importantly, George Weaver has noted, you ‘present your work’. Simply!
And that adds to the beauty.
Congrats on the Award. (I loved the ABCD in your acceptance note!)
Looking forward to seeing more from you..

    • Thank you, Heman.
Prathap, Vinod, Harold … all of them have helped a lot in making of this blog.
      I am thankful to them.
Please do visit it when you are free.
And tell me , if something can be done to improve it.

      Thanks again !

  8. Hi there, thanks for visiting ‘Gday Canucks’.

You have some beautiful photos here. I notice that your hardware includes a couple of sigma lenses. I’ve always been a bit scared to move away from the canon lenses. How have you found them?

    Keep clicking

    • Thank you , Nicole , for stopping by.
I went for Sigma lenses due to price factor – they are much cheaper than Canon lenses.By picture quality , I have not regretted my decision so far. They do work well.

  16. thanks for your like on my post “Monthly Challenge – Macro”. You have some very nice photos on your site. One suggestion – it is difficult to navigate through your site since you have to go all the way to the bottom of the page to get to a link for another post. If your theme allows it, you should move your recent post and/or archives widgets up to the top of the page unless you don’t want to reduce the area reserved for your photos. I think a lot of people are not taking the time to see all your good work because it is difficult to get to the pages.

    • Thank you , Eddie.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have felt the difficulty in navigating myself. The problem was the restrictions of the theme.I tried all the tricks , I know, but failed. May have to change the theme . Shall try it soon , when I get some free time. Thanks again.

Meanwhile , I enjoyed your awesome blog.I know I have miles to go to reach anywhere near your standards. I am happy I found your site . Shall regularly visit it. Keep posting ! You are doing some excellent blogging !

    • At last , I changed the theme itself Eddie.
I too had trouble in navigation thru’ the posts, but have been trying with the settings of the theme to overcome it. Your mail was the last straw. Please see the new one. Let me know what you feel.
Thank you for your valuable suggestion.

      • Ahhh, I thought so! I spent about 5 days in Kochi. A lovely, charming place!!!!! Spent 3 months in total in India and hoping to return very soon. My favorite country in the world πŸ™‚ Please enjoy your delicious food on my behalf tonight πŸ™‚

      • πŸ™‚ ! πŸ™‚ ! πŸ™‚ !
        Shall , certainly , do ! πŸ™‚ ! Thanks a lot !

Please do visit again. India has a rich , ancient culture , as you know, and many a lovely place to visit .

      • I would live in India if I could πŸ™‚ !!!!! Maybe one day. And honestly, I adore your food, from north to south, everything πŸ˜‰ From curries and thalis to biriyanis and parsi food…

Are you originally from Kochi? Lucky you living in that beautiful place πŸ™‚

I have not written much about India in my blog mainly bc as you said yourself, there are so many places to visit. To write about them feels a bit overwhelming: where to start?

What are your favorite places in India?

      • πŸ™‚ ! To be frank with you , I have seen very little of my country. I have been visiting other countries to see the world , but have largely ignored my own country – may be because it is easy for me to travel anywhere in India ( after all I do not need a visa ) , may be I have postponed it to be done during my old age , may be because I thought seeing the world means seeing other countries. πŸ™‚ !

I have been to India’s 4 metro cities – Mumbai , Chennai , Kolcutta , and the capital Delhi . But – it is shameful to admit – I have not seen Taj Mahal which symbolises India.

Since you love food , Mumbai is a good destination , it is India in miniature. Since you like Hinduism , Varanasi in North India , may be good to visit. Agra , for Taj Mahal , is another favorite destination. A different landscape ,culture and food can be seen in Jaipur , in western India .

There are hundreds of other beautiful places. Try to see some , at least . I think , I will visit them after another decade when I would be in my old age ! πŸ™‚ !

Stay in touch , Miia .

I am really impressed by ‘ ABOUT ‘ in your blog .
Shall visit your blog more often .

        Enjoy !

      • Thanks πŸ™‚

I understand what you say about seeing the world. Your home country kind of always stays where it is –for good and for bad…

I have a good friend (local) in Bombay so I think I am lucky to have got to know the best parts of Bombay with him and his family.

But as you say, India is so, so rich. My recommendations to you, if I may, would be Udaipur & Jaisalmer, Kochi :-), Theyyam performance near Kannur, Ayurveda treatments in Sth Kerala, Chettinad region in Tamil Nadu, Tirumala for pilgrimage, crazy Hyderabad, Mamallapuram, etc.

        This makes me “homesick” πŸ™‚

      • I have been to Thirumala and Mamallapuram.
Kannur – I will be visiting this year.
Certainly , I have the rest in my wish list .

        Thanks a lot , Miia ! πŸ™‚ !

    • Thank you , so much Merridy , for the kind words.
