  1. Thanks for liking my post uthamz, I am very amateur at photography but I love to snap away when I am out and about. Can’t wait to see what you shoot with your posh Canon.

    • ‘POSH’ Canon ? ! 🙂 ! It is a basic SLR , meant for beginners , an outdated model ( They stopped production in 2009 and moved on to higher models !!) To be frank , I got it on a clearance sale ! :)!
Thank you for the kind words.
I enjoyed your blog . Keep posting !

      • Thank you so much.
These are not my first photos ever (off course) 🙂 but are the first’s that I took after my photography course and with an specific intent: to make beauty and art.
Still a long way to go!

  3. Hey, thanks for liking my post.. I have just started acrylic paintings and most of them will be on sale on eBay… if U click the image it should take U to eBay auction page..

    • Sorry ,for the delay in response , Eirene.omehow , missed this comment !
      I , am sorry.

6D is certainly a good camera. It has been nearly a year now . And I am quite happy with it.
It is light and relatively small . And more important , has low price tag, compared to other full frame Canon cameras.

I have not tried video , but for still photos, image quality is superb .

      Have a nice weekend !

    • 6D is a good camera, Simon . Especially in low light conditions .It focuses without much delay and pictures have much less noise. This picture of Edinburgh Castle was shot with 6D. It is light and feels sturdy as well.

  4. Good Morning Utham,

I have wanted for so long to send you an email, however I have not found any other contact information on your blog. You are so lucky as it appears you are a world traveler from what I can see in your photography! Also from your hardware list you have professional equipment (lucky) I have a Canon Rebel T5i (you have to start somewhere) lol I could only hope to be as good a photographer as you are someday. I feel like I can see the world through your eyes when i look at and read your posts!

I never get more than an hour or so from my home in Western and Central Virginia, (the Shenandoah Valley and Charlottesville, VA) however, within that hour from home in all 4 directions there is a life time of photography waiting to be taken in my small world. So I will try in the coming months to post photographs of my small corner of the world.

I will be upgrading my blog to a self hosted blog, as well as a building a basketry website and a photography website as well. I am so glad that you found me so that I could find you!

    Mitchell

    • Hello Mitchell ,

Thank you so much for the kind words of appreciation .
      I am really grateful.

I think your camera is good enough to begin with.
I got a Canon 450D at throw away price , when there was a clearance sale in connection with introduction of Canon 550D . 🙂 !
But at least a couple of my best photos have been shot by Olympus point and shoot camera of 3.5MP. I assure you camera has very little role.

I started photography just four years back and have never attended any course so far. I read and learn from net . Frankly , everything is available on net.
Then keep practicing -making a lot of mistakes and then learning from them.
See a lot of pictures from experts . That helps.

I too was taking photos of my neighbourhood , till for last two years I was lucky to travel abroad three times.

I would suggest you to keep shooting , make lots of mistakes and learn from them. Nobody sees our bad shots. Nobody , except ourselves.
So go ahead ! Keep shooting whatever you think is worth .
When you start a website , please let me know.

All the very best for you and your photography .
      My email I. D is drutham@gmail.com

      Have a nice weekend !

      utham
